A mirror pair of Chinese root carvings of Shou-Lao the God of longevity. Both finely hand carved, depicting Shou-Lao with his staff and peaches - symbolising immortality - attached to his belt. Carved as unrolling scrolls bearing "shou" symbols that depict good fortune & being a homophonic pun. est 19th c.
